Memoirs
Sender: Jim HammerEmail: calvinjameshammer@yahoo.com Posted On: 01/15/2008 Year: 1976 All over the world, I see people dressing like they did in High School...30 years later. The hair style is the same (what's left of it), and the same music is playing on the sound system. What is it about these years that creates this strong impression? 1972-1976 saw the end of the Vietnam War, the fall of Richard Nixon, and more new graduates from MVHS. How did we do? Did we achieve our dreams, did we help others to achieve theirs? I remember... ...the Viking Voyager student newspaper; ...many plays: Fiddler, Miracle Worker, Arsenic, Sound of Music, Crucible, Barefoot, Mattress, Odd Couple, Hobbit. ...I remember James Clifton Heatley the Second... long gone now. ...That championship basketball team. ...Coach Logan and KLUB. ...Patti, and friends. ...lost dreams, and broken hearts. ...Mr. Crosswaithe. ...that junior prom that we froze and came back to vandalized cars...who did that, anyway? Really the memories are too rich to tell in a moment. They were good times, and like our parents said, they were all over too quickly. Post Your memoir » Show All memoirs » |
